The Internet Is For...

ahahahaha, so yes, I have in fact gotten an (awesome!) porny Temeraire fanart for the contest. *is dying of laughter* I love fandom. \o/

Speaking of which, this is a reminder! There's a little more than a week left in the Temeraire fanart contest: the deadline is August 31! (If you are an inveterate procrastinator, not that I resemble this remark or anything, as long as it is August 31 anywhere in the world it's fine). I hope you're all having fun working on art for the contest, and I am loving seeing what everyone is coming up with. :D

If you missed this earlier, here are all the contest details!

Also, to answer one more question that has arisen: if you have a piece that illustrates an existing scene from the books, yes, that *IS* welcome in the contest! I can always write a story that shows the scene from a different character's POV, or an alternate-universe retelling.

Meanwhile, I am settled in at home at last after much journeying and alas, a round of getting sick, bah. :P I have still to post one more drabble from San Diego prompts, and also pictures of many awesome Temeraire-related things acquired on my travels, and they will come! but this week has been all about a last round of edits on my manga, now finally complete with title: Will Supervillains Be On The Final? (Liberty Vocational volume 1) and getting a super-belated (in fact, despaired-of) short story done, in the same universe.

OMG they submitted *porn*? That's insane. I'd never show the creator of a fandom something rated M or above. XD That's gutsy, I gotta tell.

Is it bad lulzy or just luzly because it's porn? I wonder.

Have you gone here:

Registered, logged in, checked the 'yes I do want to see adult art, yes I am above 18' options here and there, then gone here:

http://www.furaffinity.net/search/

and selected '60 results per page', and, if you want to, select 'sort results by date' (to see the most recent ones first), and then searched for 'Temeraire'.

That will net you the hilarious porny one VERY early on, as well as lots of other cool ones, too!

Anyway, Naomi, was the porny one you were referring to 'glad for the company'?

Also, judging by what else is found in that search, I think someone named their snake after Temeraire! :) :)

What do you think of some of the other pictures in that search?

This reaction reinforces my very high opinion of you as an author, having grown up with Anne McCaffrey and Margaret Weis.

Lol, they're all sapient and sentient so the beast thing isn't an issue! And as far as major size differences in art goes, the furry fandom is not constrained by the law of physics or the realm of plausibility! ;) ;) ;)

NEED IDEA FOR CONTEST. I have been drawing cute space kitties for school and have had no opportunity to think of something awesome with dragons. Poo.

Either I get drunk for inspiration in bad-assery, or I will end up drawing some sickeningly cute version of Temeraire. Shoot, it'll probably be that second one.
